Day 3Explore the Hidden Gem of Sakkara Necropolis , Dahshure Pyramids & Memphis

A new day in Egypt today off the beaten track to the pyramids of Dahshur, the Step Pyramids of Sakkara and the Bent Pyramids of Memphis. Although most tourists think of Egypt as the home of the pyramids at Giza, it is known that there are at least 118 ancient Egyptian pyramids scattered around the country, and more are discovered every few years. Most of these ancient pyramids are located in the desert between the plateau of Giza and the semi oasis of al Fayoum. Some of the most famous ancient Egyptian pyramids are the Step pyramid of King Zoser of Sakkara, the Red pyramid and the Bent pyramid of Dahshur.
The three pyramids are symbolic of the initial stages of architecture that culminated in the Great Pyramids of Khufu. Your private guide will lead you on a tour to the pyramid sites of Dahshur, where you will have the opportunity to visit the bent and red pyramids, and the Red pyramid. After this, you will visit Memphis, the ancient capital of the Old Kingdom, which dates back to 5000 years ago. Here, you will be able to admire the great statue of king Ramses II, the Alabaster S Sphinx of queen Hatshepsut, and have lunch in a traditional restaurant. Finally, you will embark on a tour of the Sakkara necropolis, which begins with the Step Pyramid, Egypt’s oldest pyramid, and culminates in the Nobel tombs, which are renowned for their daily life scenes and vibrant colors. After this active day, you will return to your hotel.

Day 4Crusing the Nile -Discover The Temples of Karnak & Luxor

Walk through the great hypostyle hall, stroll among the expertly arranged columns that tower to 80 feet, then make your way to the temple of Luxor, where you can admire the three great statues of king Ramses II in front of the pylons of the temple, the Courtyard by Ramses II, and the colonnade by Amenhotep ill with its 50 foot high columns. Walk in their shadows, as visitors have since ancient times, and contemplate the amazing engineering feats it took to construct them. Finally, board ‘the Mayfair Nile cruise, one of the finest luxury cruises along the Nile, a river cruiser known for its warm and attentive service staff. All your meals are on board.

Next, make your way to the architecturally beautiful temple of the first female Pharaoh of ancient Egypt, considered by many to be one of the most successful temples in the world today. The temple is distinctive in style.
Continue to the valley of the kings, burial site of the pharaohs, and a world heritage site. For 500 years, beginning in the sixteenth century BC, the valley was home to the tombs of pharaohs, noblemen, and others, including the tomb of the boy king “Tutankhamun,” discovered in 1922 by the British archaeologist, Egyptologist, Howard Carter. You can also visit three other tombs in the valley.

Your next stop is the incredible Temple of Kom Ombo, dedicated to two gods, Horus (the falcon god) and Sobek (the crocodile god).
You’ll also be able to visit the Museum of Crocodiles, where you’ll be able to see the mummies of several crocodiles that once roamed along the ancient shorelines of the Nile, just as they do today.
Don’t miss the evening as you cruise down the Nile toward Aswan, with entertainment on board!

Day 7Discover Aswan Beauty- Philae Temple on the island of Agilika.

Take a motorized boat ride to Aswan and visit the impressive Philae Temple on Agilika island. This temple complex was dedicated to goddess Isis and reflects the fusion of three great civilisations: Egyptian, Greek and Roman. It was dismantled and then carefully reassembled during the construction of Aswan High Dam. Continue to Aswan to visit granite quarries and the site of the unfinished Obelisk.
