Itinerary

Day 1Cairo | Alamein | Siwa

Our expert tour guide will pick you up from your hotel in Cairo at 6:00 am and take you to the west side of Egypt in a private A-C vehicle. After leaving Cairo, we will arrive at Alamein, where we will visit the World War II Museum and the War Memorial, which contains uniforms, weapons, flags and other war paraphernalia. There will be displays of photographs and battle sites. Additionally, we will visit El Alamein War Cemetery, where the bodies of 7,367 British, Australian, South African, Greek, French, Indian and Malaysian servicemen are interred. We will also visit the German War Memorial and the Italian War Memorial. On the way, we will have a light lunch. Finally, we will arrive in Siwa to witness the sunset from Fatnas Lake, which is a small island in the Birket Siwa area. Enjoy a sunset dinner and overnight stay at our Siwa hotel.

Day 2Siwa

Start your day with breakfast at your hotel at 7:00 am. After breakfast, start your tour at Alexander the Great temple, also known as Siwan’s Oracle, where Alexander the Great wanted to consult with Siwan oracles to confirm his paternity as a son of Zeus, the Greek god of the gods. Visit the salty lake, where the salt water makes you feel like you’re floating. You don’t have to be a swimmer to enjoy this experience. Be careful when swimming, don’t let the water get in your eyes. Choose the crystal lake as it’s the purest lake, and you’ll know it’s pure when you reach the bottom. You’ll want to bring a water bottle with you after swimming, as the lake’s healing properties are much stronger than ordinary seawater. Next, visit Cleopatra’s bath, The Spring of the Sun, where it’s said that she swam here. Have a lunch break to sample Siwan food at one of the Siwan restaurants.

Exploring the Great Sand Sea by Jeep 4×4 is an unforgettable experience. Enjoy sand boarding in the desert and discover the best sand dunes in Egypt. Visit the hot and cold spring of Bir Waheed and savor traditional Bedouin tea before heading to the campsite for dinner and an overnight stay at a hotel in Swia.

Day 3Siwa | Masra Matrouh | Cairo

Have a quick breakfast at the hotel or camp, then head to Shali Fort, which is built inside a protective wall and has been around for almost 8 centuries. The people had to live in tight quarters and share their animals, which they’d herd into the fort every night. After that, head north to Shali Mountain, which is a conical mountain just over a kilometer away. It’s got tombs from the 26th Dynasty and the Roman periods, and the most beautiful one is the Si Amun Tomb.
Later heading back to Cairo, passing by Marsa Matrouh North Coast of Egypt for lunch.
